What is an Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment or manipulation is a maneuver in which a short, quick impulse is applied to a specific joint in order to improve joint mobility at an area of restriction, also helping to decrease muscle spasm and/or tension, and helping to restore proper blood flow and nerve function in the affected area.

Generally, an adjustment should feel good! And Dr. Leake has learned a wide variety of techniques in order to find a comfortable and effective adjustment for each and every ailment and individual. Her evaluation techniques help to determine when, and if, a patient's condition would be helped by an adjustment.
