More about the doc

Kayleigh (Knudson) Leake is a native San Diegan, graduating from Bonita Vista High School. She went on to attend UC San Diego for her undergraduate education, also competing for the Triton intercollegiate track and field team. Serving as captain of the team, she competed in the heptathlon and relays, earning Academic All-American honors. Dr. Leake graduated with a BA in Biological Anthropology, with a program of specialization in Chemistry.

After working with the UCSD track team's chiropractor she decided to the pursue the career herself, attending Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, CA. An active member of her class, she served in the PCCW Sports Council as Vice President of Event Coordination and Education and was also Secretary and Treasurer of the Campus Guides organization. She graduated Valedictorian of her chiropractic class in 2012, and she has been practicing in La Jolla ever since.

Prior to joining the team at the Head Neck and Spine Center, Dr. Leake worked with Team Elite Chiropractic, Water and Sports Physical Therapy, EXOS, and Fitness Quest 10. She served as the team chiropractor for UC San Diego's Intercollegiate Athletics Teams, provided care for the teams at the World Baseball Classic, and has treated at numerous community athletic competitions.

While Dr. Leake sees patients of all abilities and ages, she especially enjoys working with athletes, pediatric patients and pre- and post-natal patients. As a mother of three and a former college athlete, she has personally experienced the amazing benefits of chiropractic care in all three realms of specialty... the benefits of which she is eager to pass on to her patients.

Dr. Leake currently resides in Encinitas with her husband and three young daughters. She enjoys running, camping, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, watching her brothers play baseball, and (most of all) spending time with her family.
